Georgian parliamentary minority urges to investigate arrest of members of Nino Burjanadze's party in an impartial, open and transparent way, parliamentary minority leader Giorgo Targamadze told in a plenary meeting.

He urged international experts to take part in the investigation.

Targamadze said it is important to check whether secret recording by the Interior Ministry is true. "It is also important to find out what political context this record includes and whether acquisition of arms is connected with the protest action planned for April 9," he said.

He said the political processes are becoming more acute and threats are increasing day by day.

"Therefore the investigation must be conducted in a transparent and impartial way," he added.

He welcomed Democratic Movement-United Georgia leader Nino Burjanadze's efforts to cooperate with the investigation.
