Azerbaijan's pro-government party has instructed all regional offices to determine candidates for municipal elections until end of the May.
"The list of the candidates will be submitted to the Central Administration of the Party after it is designed," Ana Vatan party chairman Fazail Agamali told Trend .
Azerbaijan will hold municipal elections in December 2009.
Previous municipal elections were held in 1999 and 2004.
Agamali said the party will carefully choose candidates for municipal elections. "We want candidates to have more chances to win," he said.
The full list of candidates will be approved at a meeting of party's Supreme Majlis to take place in September, Agamali said.
Ana Vatan pro-government party was established in 1991. The party has two seats at the parliament.
