Heydar Aliyev's philosophy allowed Azerbaijani people and their President Ilham Aliyev to establish a strong state in Azerbaijan, head of Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE and PACE Vice President Samad Seyidov said at the conference "Heydar Aliyev's Ideas: Azerbaijan's Path of Development in 21st Century" in the Gulustan palace.
"Heydar Aliyev's ideas enabled Ilham Aliyev to pursue effective and strong foreign policy," Seyidov said.
Ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Board of Director and Political Council members visited grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev before the conference.
Azerbaijan marks 86th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
"Despite pressures, Azerbaijani army members are participating in the NATO exercises in Georgia due to this policy. Thanks to this policy we can openly say to U.S., with which we closely cooperate, and U.S. President Barack Obama that indicating Azerbaijan as non-free country in a statement on free media is biased," he said.
The PACE Vice President said Azerbaijan is reckoned with and respected worldwide. There are great hopes for Azerbaijan's future.
