Azerbaijani ruling party, OSCE Baku office to develop ties

Ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) and OSCE Baku Office will develop ties.

On May 18, NAP Executive Secretary and Deputy Chairman Ali Ahmadov met with newly-appointed head of OSCE Baku Office ambassador Bilge Jankorel.

The ambassador said the relations between the OSCE Baku Office and NAP will further develop. He said his organization is designing action plan. The organization will attach importance to proposals made by the NAP, the NAP press service said.  

Ahmadov informed the ambassador about the preparations for the municipal elections to be held in late 2009 and NAP's international relations.

NAP was established by the chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Heydar Aliyev in 1992. The current President Ilham Aliyev is the chairman of the Party which has been ruling for already 15 years.
