Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev appointed Vugar Safarli Executive Director of the Fund for State Support to Media Development under the President of Azerbaijan.
With his other order, Head of State appointed members of the Supervisory Board of the Fund. The State will be represented in the Fund by Vugar Aliyev, head of sector on work with media of public-political department of the Presidential Administration, Faig Gurbanov, head of human rights and public relations department of Justice Ministry of Azerbaijan, Zohra Aliyeva, senior advisor of the press service of Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The Fund will involve from media Rashad Mejidov, editor-in-chief of 525 newspapers, Vugar Rahimzade, editor-in-chief of Iki Sahil newspaper, Bahtiar Sadikhov, editor-in-chief of Azerbaijan newspaper; from journalistic organizations - Aflatun Amashov, president of Azerbaijan Press Council, Mushvig Aleskerli, chairman of the Trade Union of Journalists, Umud Mirzayev, International Eurasia Press Fund.
The order on establishment of the Fund was signed in early April.
