Georgia, Tbilisi, June 2 / Trend , N. Kirtskhalia/ Elections in the South Caucasus is not of any significance, Georgia President Mikheil Saakashvili said in Batumi commenting on parliamentary election in break-away South Ossetia.
"It is just grotesque elections which does not deserve our special attention and lack any significance," he said.
He said Russia was not interested in South Ossetia earlier. "But now bridgehead, controlled by occupiers, has been established there against Georgia. It is ridiculous to speak about elections," Saakashvili said.
