The President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev due to the Republic Day, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
"On behalf of the Tatar people and on my own behalf, I wish healthy to the citizens, wellbeing and prosperity and progress of the Azerbaijan Republic. There are sincere and friendly, fraternal relations, which have long roots, between Tatarstan and Azerbaijan. The strong bilateral relations between Tatarstan and Azerbaijan will remain an integral part of strategic Russian-Azerbaijani relations," the message of the President of Tatarstan says.
