Accused of an attempt to cross the border illegally and corruption crimes committed in Azerbaijan, the President of Barmek Company Huseyn Arabul was arrested according to court decision.
"On June 4, Turkish businessman Huseyn Arabul, accused under the article 318 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (attempt to cross the border illegally), was arrested for a period of two months according to Sabayil court decision.
After completion of the court, Arabul was sent to the detention center 1 in Bayil.
On June 4, Arabul was detained by the Georgian border guards and handed over to the Azerbaijani side.
According to the decision of the Court on Heinous Crimes, in 2007 Arabul was sentenced to five-year conditional punishment and a penal totaling 1,370,000 manats.
Arabul can not leave Azerbaijan unless the period of punishment completes.
It was failure to obtain additional information from the State Border.
