Greece supports Georgia's position in deploying UN mission in Abkhazia

On June 11, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze received a letter from the Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, which concerns presence of the UN mission in Georgia and extension of its mandate.

The letter said that Greece supported Georgia's position in deploying a strong and comprehensive United Nations mission in Abkhazia.

The letter stressed that Greece supports the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders.
