Former head of OSCE mission in Georgia believes EU observation mission will be more efficient

Former head of the OSCE mission in Georgia Teri Hakal believes that the European Union observation mission, which will monitor the conflict zones, will be more effective.

This statement was made by Hakal during the farewell with the Defense Minister David Sikharulidze, said the press service of Defense Ministry of Georgia.

Hakal thanked the Minister for the fruitful cooperation with the EU monitoring mission. She also expressed regret over Russia's veto on the mandate of the UN mission in Georgia.

The Defense Minister of Georgia expressed his wish that the OSCE and UN missions share their rich experiences with EU observation mission.
