Georgian Orthodox Church delegation leaves for Moscow

The Georgian Orthodox Church's official delegation left for Moscow in the morning on June 30. The delegation is headed by the chairman of the Foreign department of the Georgian Patriarchate, Metropolitan of Zugdidi and Tsaishsky Gerasim (Sharashenidze).

The delegation also comprises Archimandrite David (Chincharauli), Archpriest Giorgi Harazashvili, scientific editor of the Georgian Encyclopedia Zurab Abashidze.

The delegation will be met by Holy Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill during the visit to Moscow.  The negotiations will be also held with Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of Moscow Patriarchate, Archbishop Volokolamskoye Illarionov.

Metropolitan Gerasim said meetings in Moscow will focus on issues of mutual interest.
