Another Russian military man runs away Georgia's military unit

Another military man run away Russian military division from Georgia's occupied territories. Russian military man Dmitry Artemyev deserted from division in Perevi of Georgia's Sachher region. Russian military men placed there.

He applied for help to UN representation in Tbilisi. Artemyev said that he could not stay because of sergeants' oppression.

Russian military men asked for political asylum. UN representative Karmen Kaarhanan said that UN will consider Artemyev's conformity with refugee status.

The Georgia's ministry has given Artemyev status of competitor for refugee. Deserter expressed willingness to stay in Georgia and get Georgian citizenship.

It is the second similar case. Earlier Alexander Gluhov ran away military division. He got Georgian citizenship.
