Tbilisi hopes Obama and Medvedev to discuss Georgia's problems

Georgian side hopes that one of topics will include Georgia's problems during the meeting of Obama with Medvedev, Georgian deputy foreign minister Alexander Nalbandov at the briefing on July 6.

Not only Georgia but world community expect much from this meeting, he said. Nalbandov expressed confidence that besides other strategic issues, Georgian territorial integrity and sovereignty will be one of major topics of talks.    

"Position of sides is contrary towards Georgia. Firm position of the USA is support of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. We are sure that Georgia's issue will be considered in this aspect," deputy minister said. 

Nalbandov reminded about statement of U.S ambassador to Georgia John Tefft. Tefft said that Obama will raise issue concerning territorial integrity of Georgia during meeting with Medvedev.
