Leader of the Alliance for Georgia Irakly Alasaniya assessed U.S. President Barack Obama's statement, made after the meeting with his Russian counterpart to support Georgia's sovereignty.
Alasaniya said this step is forward in the process of Russia's refusal from legitimizing the occupied territories.
"This is a serious fundament for the international community to continue efforts for full de-occupation of Georgia," he said.
