Next round of consultations to draw up the full-scale agreement on free trade (DCFTA) will be held between Georgia and EU in Brussels in September.
Consultations have been held with EU since 2008, head of the department on foreign trade and international economic relations of the ministry of economic development, David Aleksidze, said.
As a result of consultations held within consultations in Tbilisi on October 14-15, 2008, delegation of the European Commission designed concrete recommendations. Talks on drawing up the agreement are likely to be held after fulfillment of these recommendations.
Progress achieved in fulfillment of recommendations was considered at the next meeting on may 20, 2009.
Fulfillment of recommendations is divided into 2 stages. The first stage includes recommendations that must be fulfilled before talks but the second one envisages recommendations that must be fulfilled during drawing up the agreement and after it.
