Armenia does not follow the Council of Europe's recommendations, Head of the Azerbaijani Delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Samad Seyidov, told journalists on Aug.25.
Each session of the CE, including the sessions of the PACE, discusses the issue of Armenia. At first glance, the CE is seriously concerned with the situation in Armenia and provides various recommendations. However, in reality, there is a very strange fact occurring. The more the CE gives Armenia recommendations, the more Armenia ignores them. It is an inadmissible practice, Seyidov added.
According to Seyidov, the government in Armenia, along with the opposition, is not interested in the CE discussing the situation in the country. "It is possible that the regular session of PACE will again raise the issue of Armenia. But this does not mean that after adopting a resolution, Yerevan will take any meaningful steps," Seyidov added.
