Georgians living in Washington and representatives of the Baltic countries have gathered at the Georgian Embassy to stand in a chain of unity in support of Georgia. They are protesting against Russia's aggression.

The participants of the human chain once again are expressing their solidarity with Georgia.

Washington also marked the 70th anniversary of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and the 20th anniversary of the chain of Baltic unity.

Up to 200 people stretched out in a symbolic chain leading from the Latvian Embassy to the Estonian embassy.

In the summer of 1989, approximately 2 million Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians united in a single human chain to protest the mutual non-aggression pact signed between the USSR and Nazi Germany, dividing Eastern Europe between the two powers.
