Speaker of Kazakh Parliament meets with European Commission's Kazakh representative

On September 2, the Speaker of the Senate, Kasim Zhomart Tokayev, received Ambassador and European Commission representative in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Norbert Jousten, Parliament's press service said.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on a wide range of Kazakh-European cooperation, including Kazakh presidency in the OSCE.
The speaker stressed that the EU is Kazakhstan's largest investor and trade partner. He said that implementing the state program the "Road to Europe" opens broad possibilities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
Discussing Kazakhstan's upcoming chairmanship in the OSCE, Tokayev spoke about the spheres of the work aimed at strengthening democratic processes in all spheres of society.
Jousten stressed that the OSCE chairmanship is an important task for Kazakhstan and wished him success in preparing for this noble mission.
