Canadian Ambassador to Kazakhstan ends her diplomatic mission

On Sept. 8, the Vice-Speaker of the Senate, Mukhambet Kopeev met with the Canadian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Margaret Skok due to the end of her diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan, the press office of the Senate reported.

On Sept. 8, the Vice-Speaker of the Senate, Mukhambet Kopeev met with the Canadian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Margaret Skok due to the end of her diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan, the press office of the Senate reported.

"During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on further strengthening of the Kazakhstan-Canadian relations, including inter-parliamentary cooperation.

According to the deputy speaker, the parliamentary relations are an important component of the bilateral relations. A group of cooperation with the Parliament of Canada operates at the Kazakhstan Senate," the Senate said

Noting Kazakhstan's interest in enhancing bilateral cooperation with Canada, Mukhambet Kopeev said that the potential interaction between the two countries is far from exhausted.

"Our country has all opportunities for comprehensive development of mutually beneficial partnership, both in political and economic spheres," said the deputy speaker.

Margaret Skok, agreeing with the fact that Canada and Kazakhstan have a serious basis for the development of trade and investment relations, expressed her suppport "for achieving sustainable success in various areas of cooperation."

"The vice-speaker thanked the Canadian diplomat for the fruitful work to strengthen comprehensive ties between the two countries and presented a letter of thanks by the speaker of the Kazakh Senate to the ambassador," the report said.
