The leader of the Democratic Movement - United Georgia Nino Burjanadze will make a claim to the Constitutional Court against the Parliament. This was announced at today's briefing by the representative of the NGO "Article 42 of the Constitution" Manana Kobakhidze.
That is, the organization will protect the interests of Burjanadze in the court.

She requires the recognition of unconstitutional changes on July 17, 2009 to the Tax Code. In accordance with these changes, the tax authorities are given the right to withdraw the amount before the decision of the first instance come into force.

"This rule of law, which gives tax authorities the right to forcibly withdraw the amount before the decision of the first instance come into force and sell the property, is unconstitutional. This provision violates the right of recourse to the courts and the right of property," said Kobakhidze.

Burjanadze has prepared a lawsuit after the new changes have affected her. In particular, it deals with litigation with tax authorities in connection with the house in Tskneti, which ended not in her favor.

Burjanadze appealed the decision of Tbilisi City Court to the Court of Appeal, but before the Court of Appeal decision, the tax office may sell her assets.
