NATO ready to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in preventing and removing emergency situations

NATO is ready to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in preventing emergencies and removing their consequences.
"The Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations is devising a package of documents in the prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations, and NATO is ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in this sphere," said George Vlad Niculescu, a representative of the NATO General Staff.
This will help to support security policy, Niculescu said on Sept. 23 at a seminar on "Effective methods of planning and management of a complex of measures on prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations".
He expressed hope that in NATO's cooperation with the relevant ministries of Azerbaijan, the work will be improved to prevent emergency situations. The NATO official said it is very important to collaborate in this field and to hold the necessary seminars.
Azerbaijan cooperates with NATO in military and defense sector, as well as within the various programs of the alliance.
