Iran's decision to annul visa regime for Azerbaijan positive sign: ruling party

Iran's decision to unilaterally annual the visa regime for Azerbaijanis proves that the country is an attractive destination, New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Deputy Secretary, MP Mubariz Gurbanli told journalists today.
"The main factor is Iran's interest to increase number of Azerbaijani visitors," he added.
Today the Iranian Cabinet of Ministers decided to unilaterally annul the visa regime with Azerbaijan. The proposal was sent to the Iranian Foreign Ministry by First Deputy President Mohammad Reza Rahimi.
In late October, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki submitted to the government a bill on annulling the visa regime with Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan will consider the abolition of the visa regime with Iran based on national interests, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Elkhan Polukhov told Trend .
