U.S President Barack Obama congratulated his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov on the Kurban holiday today, Uzbek media reported.
"Please accept my best wishes on this day on behalf of the American people and myself, when you and the Uzbek people celebrate the holy Kurban holiday," the message reads.
"I wish you and the Uzbek people happiness and prosperity in the coming year," the message says.
