Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree approving the documents signed between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan on Oct. 2, 2009 in Baku, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
The Presidential decree approved the Agreement on repayment of debt resulting from trade-economic relations during 1992-1993 (before and after the transition to the calculations on correspondent accounts) between the governments of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and Agreement on agricultural cooperation between the Ministries of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
The decree also states that it is necessary to take into account the Joint Declaration on establishing relationship of brother cities between the cities of Sumgayt (Azerbaijan) and Aktau (Kazakhstan), signed on Oct. 2, 2009 in Baku.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan is in charge of taking necessary measures to implement the approved documents. The Foreign Ministry is in charge of informing the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the implementation of necessary domestic procedures for the entry into force of the agreements.
