Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) co-rapporteurs on Azerbaijan Andres Herkel and Joseph Debono Grech to visit Azerbaijan on February 8-12, source in the Secretariat of the PACE told Trend on Friday.
The decision on co-rapporteurs' visit to Azerbaijan was adopted December 17, 2009 at a meeting of the PACE Monitoring Committee in Paris.
In the framework of the visit, meetings of co-rapporteurs with the President of Azerbaijan, the head of the Presidential Administration, the Chairman of the Milli Mejlis (Parliament), Minister of Justice, Attorney General, the heads of Central Election Committee and the National Council for Broadcasting, chief of staff of the Ombudsman, members of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, representatives of the ruling and opposition parties, journalists and representatives of nongovernmental organizations.
