Azerbaijan's ruling party extends cooperation with the U.S. National Democratic Institute.
"Relations between our party and the National Democratic Institute are at a high level, conducted joint activities are of positive significance for the sides," deputy chairman and executive secretary of ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Ali Ahmedov said on Feb. 15, receiving the new head of the Baku office of the National Democratic Institute Alex Grigoriyevich, the press service of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) reported.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on further expansion of mutual cooperation between the NAP and the NDI and joint projects.
NAP was established by the chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Heydar Aliyev in 1992. The current President Ilham Aliyev is the chairman of the Party which has been ruling for already 17 years.
