Security in Caspian to be discussed in Baku

There are plans to hold next meeting at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the Caspian countries in Baku on March 11-12, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov briefed the media on March 3.

There are plans to hold next meeting at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the Caspian countries in Baku on March 11-12, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov briefed the media on March 3.

According to him, besides deputy ministers, the meeting will be attended by the representatives of border service, customs committee, the interior ministry, ministry of emergency situations. Furthermore, the meeting will cover security issues.

"If within these meetings, we can achieve an agreement on some issues, these issues will be included in the plan of meeting of the Presidents," said Khalafov.

He noted that preparations are underway for the meeting of the presidents of the Caspian countries, and it will cover both the status of the Caspian Sea and security issues in the Caspian.
