The investigation into the armed incident in military unit located in Dashkesan (400 km west of Baku), will end within a month.
Four men were detained in connection with the armed incident in a military unit located in Dashkesan, Azerbaijani military prosecutor Khanlar Veliyev told journalists.
Two soldiers shot dead four military servicemen and injured two at Azerbaijani Defence Ministry Military Unit No. N in the Dashkesen region Jan. 28 at 6:00 p.m. The soldiers shot themselves after the crime.
Without revealing the causes of the incident, Veliyev said that the investigation continues.
"The investigation revealed that harassment among servicemen and the facts of lawlessness in the military unit. It was established that the soldiers committed the crime violating the discipline themselves. All matters will be clarified after the investigation," Veliyev said.
The Military Prosecutor Office's Heinous Crimes Department launched a criminal case in accordance with Articles 120.2.1 (deliberate murder committed by a group of individuals, group of persons by prior conspiracy, an organized group or criminal association (criminal organization), 120.2.3 (deliberate murder of the victim or his relatives in connection with the implementation of this person performance or the performance of public debt) and 120.2.7 (deliberate murder of two or more persons), the Prosecutor Office told Trend .
