Ex-Parliamentary Speaker and Democratic Movement-United Georgia leader Nino Burjanadze intends to find out why her luggage was searched for 1.5 hours at the Tbilisi International Airport.

Burjanadze will investigate whether the German side demanded the verification of her baggage.

Burjanadze will send an appropriate request to the German Embassy in Georgia, the Munich airport's security service, the Munich Airport Authority and the German Federal Police May 20 regarding the incident at the Tbilisi International Airport, Burjanadze's party told Trend.

She said the Tbilisi airport told her that her luggage was inspected upon the request of the German side.
