Georgia and Switzerland signed an agreement on avoidance of double taxation. The Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, who is on a visit to Switzerland, told journalists.

Georgia and Switzerland signed an agreement on avoidance of double taxation. The Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, who is on a visit to Switzerland, told journalists.

During the visit, Gilauri met with Switzerland's President, business leaders and owners of famous brands.

According to Nika Gilauri, Switzerland is interested in the energy and health spheres, as well as infrastructure projects.

"This agreement will facilitate the inflow of new investments from Switzerland. We meet with representatives of the Swiss business community who are interested in investing in Georgia. We are talking about energy, health and infrastructure projects", he said.

"Georgia is an important partner in the Nabucco project, since the pipeline will pass through Georgia. We are interested in finding common interests and to significantly invest in Georgia. We are ready for closer cooperation", President of Switzerland Doris Leuthard said.

He said Switzerland supports Georgia and is ready to fulfil mediator role in the settlement of the Georgian-Russian relations.
