Today the fourth Baku Energy School has launched its activity under the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA).

Today the fourth Baku Energy School has launched its activity under the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA).

"The purpose of the summer school is to provide opportunities for students abroad to learn experience of the country with a rich history of oil and gas", told reporters the rector of the ADA Hafiz Pashayev.

According to him, during the summer school between students of the ADA and foreign universities will be established relationship which is important for their future activities.

Rector noted that at the end of the summer school students will be awarded certificates.

Trends existing on the world and Azerbaijani energy markets, innovations, legal, economic and environmental aspects of energy market and activity of transnational local and foreign oil companies will be considered within the lessons until July 17, ADA said.

Prominent professors from Harvard University, Rice University (U.S), ADA, from Israel, Great Britain and France will deliver reports in the Summer School. Leading experts of ExxonMobil, Total, Schlumberger, Itochu, RWE, SOCAR and BP will share practical experience in the oil and gas industry.

Leading representatives of the local oil and gas industry, officials, determining the foreign policy of the republic, including Minister of Industry and Energy Natiq Aliyev, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Huseyngulu Bagirov, Executive Director of the State Oil Fund Shahmar Movsumov and others will speak within the lessons of ADA's fourth Summer School.

This year about 41 about 160 candidates got the right to get education in the Summer School. They represent such countries as Turkey, Poland, Hungary, U.S, Malaysia, Mozambique, Greece and 19 other countries. Foreign students represent not only the academic environment. There are employees of oil and gas companies and representatives of state organizations among them.

Throughout the period of students' stay in Azerbaijan, trips to regions and places of value in terms of history of the oil industry and modern date are planned.

More than 100 specialists - professionals in the energy field have been trained for 4 years in the summer school.
