Georgia establishes a joint governmental and parliamentary group to study the situation of the Georgian Diaspora in Azerbaijan. The decision was taken after a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on relations with compatriots living abroad, the parliament told Trend.
The committee addressed the issue of the Georgian-Azerbaijani relations in relation to the problems of Georgians living in Azerbaijan.
The committee hearings were closed on the basis of "specific subject matter". The Georgian Foreign Ministry presented a report on the situation of Georgians in Azerbaijan.
The discussion was attended by MPs and representatives of the ministries and departments of the Georgian government.
