Azerbaijani opposition Umid Party will not join any election bloc, the chairman of Umid Party Igbal Aghazadeh told Trend on July 30.

"Because the Umid Party significantly takes ahead over other parties with its weight and a special place in society, its approach to political processes, the number of members taking part in parliamentary elections. There is not such second opposition party, which is the best in this regard. Either we will be creators of a bloc or will not join any other bloc. We have no plans to join whatsoever bloc," said Aghazadeh.  

According to chairman of the party, his party is ready to cooperate.

"We are ready to cooperate with all for democratic elections in Azerbaijan. Whether we like it or not, we will cooperate with other parties in the election process," said Aghazadeh.

The holding of parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan is scheduled for Nov. 7, 2010. Previous legislative elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 electoral districts.
