The Azerbaijani government approved amendments to the traffic regulations law today.

According to the amendments, driving licenses will include a new "A1" category for motorcycles with motors under 125 cubic centimeters and a motor force of 11 kilowatts.

Individuals aged 18 and older can receive licenses in the "A1," "A," "B" and "C" categories. Individuals aged 19 and older can also receive licenses in the "BE" and "CE" categories. Individuals aged 21 and older are eligible for licenses in the "D" category, and the "DE" category is reserved for individuals aged 24 and older.

The amendments also set new lengths of study for different licenses - 3.5 months for "C" and "D" licenses, 2.5 months for "A" and "B" licenses, and 1.5 months for "A1" licenses.

After receiving an "A" or "B" license, drivers may receive an additional license in a new category after 1.5 months of training.
