Azerbaijan, Baku, August 25 /Trend, T.Hajiyev/

"Azerbaijan occupies one of the last places not only among the CIS countries, but also among European countries for the number of crimes per 100,000 people. Full control over the criminal situation and restoring stability have created all conditions for normal life of both our citizens and foreigners, as well as to make huge foreign investments in Azerbaijan's economy," Azerbaijani Interior Minister, Colonel General Ramil Usubov said at a meeting with the Ambassador of Iraq to Azerbaijan Heydar Shiah Gubeyshi Al-Barrak, Interior Ministry's press service reported.

"It needs to jointly combat the global crimes such as international terrorism, drug trafficking, human trafficking and illegal migration," said Usubov.

Usubov reminded that Azerbaijan is one of the active members of the anti-terror coalition and wished peace and welfare to friendly Iraqi government and people, who is in the most decisive period of its history.
The Iraqi ambassador thanked for reception and detailed information. He said the two countries and people had ancient friendly relations and added that Iraqi police would take useful experience from the activity of their Azerbaijani colleagues. He emphasized the importance of signing the protocols of intentions between the relevant institutions of the two countries, which are looking forward for extension of cooperation.
