Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission (CEC) at a meeting held Wednesday approved the text, form, amount and rules for the preparation of notifications that will inform voters about the place and time of elections to be held in November.

Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission (CEC) at a meeting held Wednesday approved the text, form, amount and rules for the preparation of notifications that will inform voters about the place and time of elections to be held in November.

Five million copies of the notifications will be printed, CEC secretary Natig Mammadov said.

Changes to the structure of several district electoral commissions were also approved by the CEC.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Sept. 3 to schedule the next parliamentary elections for Nov. 7.

Previous elections in the legislature were held in November 2005. In Azerbaijan, parliamentary elections are held on the majority system in 125 electoral districts.
