OSCE summit in Astana to bring over 6,000 guests and half thousand journalists together

More than 6,000 guests and half thousand journalists together will visit Astana during the OSCE summit, Kazakh Presidential Administration Deputy Head Maulen Ashimbaev said.

More than 6,000 guests and half thousand journalists together will visit Astana during the OSCE summit, Kazakh Presidential Administration Deputy Head Maulen Ashimbaev said.

"Astana will host next summit of the OSCE, which will be attended by all 56 member countries of the Organization, representatives of 500 international NGOs, over 6,000 visitors for the first time in the former Soviet Union, after 11 years," Ashimbaev said.

He said more than half thousand journalists from leading publications and news agencies will arrive in Astana for coverage of the OSCE summit's work.

"We should hold the summit at a high level. For us it is an occasion for pride of our country, as well as another potential for patriotism among the Kazakhs," Ashimbaev stressed.

He said national television channels during the summit days will change their broadcast schedule.

"The national TV channels, such as "Khabar ","Kazakhstan" and others, will broadcast the OSCE summit. In addition, broadcast on state television, as well as on such a channel as Caspionet, will be in English for the guests' convenience " Ashimbaev said.

Dec.1-2, Astana will host the next summit of the OSCE. The last time it was held in Istanbul.
