Uzbek youth visit Azerbaijan

The Uzbek youth will today launch a visit to Azerbaijan under the plan on cooperation in youth policy in 2009-2010 signed between the Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Ministry and the Uzbek Public Youth Movement "Kamolot", the ministry reported.
Under the agreement, Azerbaijan launched the Days of the Uzbek Youth on Monday. In this regard, the delegation including representatives of the Kamalot Central Council, as well as 20 creative and active young people, arrived in Azerbaijan.
It is expected to hold series of events in the framework of the Days of the Uzbek Youth in Azerbaijan, which was organized by the Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Ministry with the participation of the two countries' agencies involved in youth politics, NGOs and active young people of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
During the four-day visit, the guests will familiarize with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Baku State University, hold meetings at the Youth and Sports Ministry, Public Union 'Irali' and Azerbaijani Student-Youth Organization, and participate in a roundtable on "Priorities of the contemporary youth politics." The creative young people of the two countries will meet at the Azerbaijani State Academy of Art.
The program of events also includes an exhibition of young artists and the concert program.
The exhibition will show works of young Azerbaijani and Uzbek artists in the style of paintings, drawings and decorative arts, as well as works of Uzbek children and adolescents, submitted for the contest on "What do you know about Azerbaijan?".
There also will be held several events in Sumgait. The youth will hold a concert and "Evening of the national cuisine" here.
In addition, the guest will familiarize with historical and cultural monuments of Azerbaijan and visit the Ethnographic Museum "Gala".
