Pretoria discusses Kazakh President’s possible visit to SAR

The South African Republic’s Government has expressed interest in organization of the Kazakh President’s visit to this country, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry told Trend.

The South African Republic's Government has expressed interest in organization of the Kazakh President's visit to this country, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry told Trend.

"Pretoria hosted the first round of intergovernmental political consultations between Kazakhstan and the South African Republic. During the meeting, the South African side stressed the strong interest in organizing our President's visit to the SAR, and expressed confidence that the meeting at the high level will give a powerful dynamics to strengthen cooperation between the two countries," the Ministry said.
During the consultations, the South African side appreciated the role and initiatives of Kazakhstan as the OSCE chairman, noting the upcoming summit of the Organization, the Ministry said.

"The sides exchanged views on expanding trade and economic cooperation through bilateral meetings of business circles and implementation of promising investment projects," the Ministry stated.

An agreement was reached to hold the next round of political consultations in Astana.
