Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by Iranian Minister of Defense Ahmad Vahidi, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
Noting the intense mutual visits between the two countries, President Aliyev said that this is an indicator of multidirectional cooperation.
The president stressed the development of military cooperation, as well as in other areas.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi's visit to Azerbaijan will be successful.
Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi conveyed the greetings from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He noted that the Iranian president greatly respects Azerbaijani counterpart.
Noting the good level of political cooperation, Ahmad Vahidi said that mutual visits are regular. It is an indicator of development of bilateral cooperation.
The President thanked for greetings and conveyed his greetings to the Iranian President.
