Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA) Ramil Hasanov will participate in the OSCE-CIS PA joint international conference on "The OSCE and the CIS: New Opportunities and Prospects" to be held in St. Petersburg on Oct.27-29, the structure reported.
Chairmen of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov, Kazakh Parliamentary Chairman Ural Mukhameddzhanov and the parliamentary chairmen of other countries will attend the event. Hasanov will speak about the activities of the Assembly and the work done. He also will exchange views on new forms of TurkPA's cooperation with the OSCE and the CIS PA.
The TurkPA was established in 2009 in Baku. The organization includes Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. TurkPA Secretariat is located in Baku. The main goal of the Assembly is to strengthen relations between the Turkic-speaking countries and support Turkic-speaking countries in international organizations, as well as to help them share their experiences in legislative processes.
