Georgian Foreign Ministry to hold political consultations with Peru

The Georgia Foreign Ministry will hold political consultations with Peru Oct. 29.

According to the Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze, the meeting will discuss issues of bilateral relations.

"Particular attention will be paid to economic issues," Kalandadze said.

Georgia has intensified its contacts with Latin American countries after Venezuela recognized its separatist regions - Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Over the past three months, Georgia has intensified its relations with the region's countries, and President Mikheil Saakashvili twice attended the regional forums in Latin America.
