The Kazakh and Russian foreign ministers discussed the agenda for the upcoming OSCE summit today, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.

"OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Kazakh Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev held a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov," the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.

The sides discussed the preparations for the upcoming OSCE summit in Astana on Dec. 1-2 that will gather the heads of states and governments of member countries.

"The foreign ministers of both countries expressed their hope for the summit's success," In the ministry said. "The sides highlighted the need for a constructive approach by all of the participants and to agree and to adopt a summit political document."
