The Georgian parliament will vote for candidacies of Georgian ambassadors to eight countries today at the plenary session.

The Georgian parliament will vote for candidacies of Georgian ambassadors to eight countries today at the plenary session.

Teimuraz Sharashenidze was nominated to the post of ambassador to Azerbaijan. Konstantin Kavtaradze was nominated to the post of ambassador to Sweden. Nikoloz Nikolozishvili was nominated to the post of ambassador to Poland. Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Nalbandov was nominated to the post of ambassador to Slovakia. Mamuka Zhgenti will replace Zurab Chiaberashvili in the Council of Europe and Chiaberashvili will be appointed as the ambassador to Switzerland.

At the last plenary session the parliament approved the candidacies of Georgian ambassadors to Armenia, Brazil and the United States of Mexico.

Sharashenidze previously served as the consul general to Turkey.
