Croatia and Georgia signed an agreement to show cooperation in the sectors of economy, culture and tourism, during Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze's visit to Croatia, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
During the visit, the Foriegn Minister met with the Croatian President. Talking to the Georgian media about the meeting, Vashadze said that during the meeting with the Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, "it was noted that Georgia and Croatia have established very good, stable political relations based on democratic values."
"The meeting stressed the need to develop and expand bilateral cooperation in economy, culture and tourism, in this direction the Croatian President outlined a number of new ideas and offers, which we gladly accepted," he further said.
Vashadze also met with members of the Croatian Government and the country's Parliament Speaker Luka Bebić.
Bebić in an interview with the Georgian journalists said that "during the meeting with Vashadze an agreement was reached that there are opportunities for expanding cooperation between the two countries."
"We have also discussed Georgia's integration into NATO and the EU and Croatia's assistance to Georgia in these processes," added.
