Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will take part in the Munich Conference on Security to be held on Feb.4-6, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Elkhan Polukhov told Trend on Wednesday.

The agenda of the 47th Munich Conference includes topical issues such as the financial crisis, nuclear non-proliferation, disarmament, and others.

The Munich Conference is expected to be attended by up to 350 guests.

The Munich Conference was founded in 1962 by German publisher Ewald von Kleist as a meeting for defence ministry officials from NATO member states. Today, the Conference is an international forum bringing together politicians, diplomats, military professionals, businesspeople, scientists, and community leaders from over 40 nations around the world.
