Turkmen Parliamentary Speaker Akja Nurberdieva received the credentials of Swiss Ambassador in Turkmenistan Sabine Ulmann Shaban today.
The participants called for intensifying the traditional interstate dialogue between the two neutral countries. Their peace-oriented foreign policy gained the endorsement and strong support in the international arena.
In this context, the importance of cooperation within international organizations and, above all, the U.N. was stressed.
The sides called for establishing close interparliamentary relations, effective bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as environmental protection.
The diplomat familiarized himself with the important aspects of Turkmenistan's state policy, as well as the goals of large-scale projects and programs implemented in the country.
One of the topics of the meeting was the work of the Turkmen parliament to improve the national legislative basis within the progressive reforms in the country.
