First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva met Tuesday with UN Resident-coordinator, UNDP Head Fikret Akcura.
Mehriban Aliyeva said Azerbaijan fruitfully cooperates with the UNDP. President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation noted "Access of Blind and Visually Impaired Persons to ICT" Project has been successfully completed, and mentioned the establishment of regional information centers for the handicapped in Ganja and Nakhchivan.
Akcura highlighted the importance of the present meeting for discussing future cooperation including implementation of scheduled projects. He praised Mehriban Aliyeva`s care for education and healthcare in the country, adding UNDP is keen on cooperating with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
