Georgia, Tbilisi, March 7 / Trend, N. Kirtskhalia /
The Western world's revolutionary expectations for Georgia are inaccurate, ex-Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze said.
As Shevardnadze said in an interview with the weekly Asaval-Dasavali, "while there is reason for concern about the possibility of a revolution," he did not agree with the Wall Street Journal's statement that the situation is as tense as in Egypt.
"Though the current situation is not revolutionary, there is a tendency for deterioration, as the Georgian authorities are making thoughtless steps," Shevardnadze said.
He especially criticized the authorities for their decision to relocate the Boers to the country and to evict refugees.
"These mistakes will lead to the Georgian people's irritation and there is a danger of destabilization," he said.

Shevardnadze did not agree with President Mikheil Saakashvili about the fact that there are no real presidential aspirants in Georgia.
