Turkish president ratifies Turkish-Azerbaijani inter-governmental agreements
Turkish President Abdullah Gul ratified the two Turkish-Azerbaijani inter-governmental agreements on Wednesday, the Turkish media reported.
President Gul ratified an agreement on cooperation between the governments of Turkey and Azerbaijan in the field of copyright and intellectual property rights signed on June 30, 2005 and a supplementary agreement to the Social Security Treaty signed between the governments of Turkey and Azerbaijan on July 17, 1998.
The Turkish parliament ratified these Turkish-Azerbaijani inter-governmental agreements at a meeting on Feb.22.
The Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Relations Commission developed final bills to approve the agreements at a meeting on Jan. 5, after which they were submitted to parliament for consideration.
